First we give thanks to God.

We will always hope and pray that you are always in the shelter of God.

We are grateful for the help that you provide us.

It is truly a gift of all good moral that you provide to us. We say many thanks; I hope you all get a good moral response from the infinite power.

It would be an honor for us if you are willing to visit our home when you visit Indonesia.

Karsidi Dome Updates: Adopted by Mohammed Redha

The Karsidi dome should be done sometime this week. The workers have paint the interior and exterior of the dome white to save on electricity. They are also laying white tile so the dome looks bright and clean. Tomorrow they will start installing the window and door frames. To view more pictures click here.

The Wahyudi family is very happy and excited about their new dome. Yoss and the workers have built the footing and a retaining wall to avoid erosion. They have also leveled out the ground. The material suppliers delivered 200 bags of cement. They are still waiting on the rebar. While they are waiting they are screening sand, building the window and door frames, and the bamboo scaffolding. To view more pictures click here.

The guest room attached to the Karsidi dome is almost complete. The workers have to finish plastering the walls and applying the roof tiles. They will start plastering the exterior of the dome tomorrow. To view more pictures click here.

We just received a donation which will cover the cost of a new Dome for a homesless family in Indonesia. For $2500, you or your organization could “adopt” a family of your own. Follow along with the construction of this home at: http://blog.dftw.org

Domes for the World is moving ahead to the next stage of finding funding for low-income family homes in Ethiopia. OPIC is helping. Check them out at http://www.Opic.gov.

Lynda Eggiman, director DFTW Peru is currently in Peru pounding the pavement and getting everything in order to finish a feasibility study for housing there. We intend to approach Peru by building housing for low-income to middle class families and re-investing profits into strictly humanitarian efforts for the poorest of the poor.

The big meeting for Haiti has been postponed until May, but things are still moving down the track for some serious developments there. Domes for the World wants to not only build housing to protect the families of Haiti from the hurricanes that batter the Island of Hispaniola, but also aid in cooridination of greater environmental and social actions.

We are in the middle of creating a new website! Our blog will be moving from http://blog.dftw.org soon. I will let all of you know when that happens.

We are also working hard to create a vision for Sustainable Cities which will include recommendations from the UN on cleaning up the environment as well as safe and permanent Monolithic Domes and Ecoshells. Donations are needed to keep this work moving forward.

The Karsidi dome is moving along great. They have the concrete applied to the exterior of them dome and the interior walls finished. They are also adding a spare room to this dome. They are almost finished building the walls and installing the door and window frames. To view more pictures click here.

The workers at the Karsidi dome finished the rebar and concrete for the footing. They have also attached and inflate the airform. Tomorrow they will start hanging rebar for the dome. To view more pictures click here.

Yoss and his workers have started building the Karsidi dome. They started the footing and all the equipment is delivered. They also finished building the bamboo scaffolding. The rebar cement and tiles will be delivered monday. To view more pictures click here.
